Lily Care of Breast & Body

  • Know your family history.
  • Do monthly examinations of breast and body.
  • After 40 years of age, have a yearly mammogram.
  • Say "Yes" to testing your medical professional recommends.
  • Take time to decide what action is best for you.
  • If estrogen receptive, consider tamoxifen and aromatase inhibitors.
  • Even if your breast cancer has not spread to your nodes, consider chemotherapy when the cancerous lump is over 2 cm.
  • Understand the advantages of breast conservation - in many cases a lumpectomy with radiation is as effective as a mastectomy.
  • With a mastectomy, think about reconstructive surgery.
  • Take into account all aspects of healing - not only the physical, but the emotional and spiritual.
  • Eat a well-balanced diet that is low in fat and sugars.
  • Exercise, exercise, exercise!
  • Fill your life with the message of the lily - Strength, Energy & Love.
  • Know we can live a beautiful and healthy "gardening" life.
